Perth Game Fishing Club

Newcastle & Port Stephens
Newcastle & Port Stephens Game Fish Club was formed in 1929. It is the birthplace of Game Fishing in Australia where in 1913, Dr Mark Lidwell caught the worlds first black marlin on rod and reel off Port Stephens, the skeleton still remains on display at the Australian Museum.
